I would like to take this opportunity to thank Kieran at Power Reinforcement for the tremendous work ethic that was carried out on the radius spine/fin beam of the cable stay bridge on the ISJV project for the North West rail link. When my team met with Kieran at the pre- contract meeting, I was impressed with his approach on health and safety, and records and questionnaires on planning ahead for work procedures. Kieran worked with my team of engineers, planning steel reinforcement deliveries to site. Also planning mobile crane lifting of steel into the correct zones, as per the design drawings, this meant it reduced a lot of manual handling and thus give a safer working environment in this difficult work zone. With his crew working day and night shifts left the fin beam completed on programme. which meant the next contractor was not delayed.

We have contracted Power reinforcement on several of our projects over the last number of years including two bridge projects on the northern road upgrade and a substation at Central station in Sydney. This is to confirm that for a period of 3 months Power reinforcement worked for me as a subcontractor tying reinforcement to a very critical section of a Cable Stayed bridge in Sydney. During this time Kieran and his men showed plenty of professionalism with how they all conducted themselves. All of the safety expectations that we required Power reinforcement to comply to were met and during the peak of construction even though there was plenty of program pressure on the job the crew never jeopardised their safety to meet target dates.

The job itself involved tying very congested and complex reinforcement for 250m of spine beam on a bridge deck. It included hundreds of pages of schedules and marking plans to build and there have not been many steel fixers that I have used in the past that could process all of the information to get this job done.

I would have no hesitation in calling Kieran to complete steel fixing works for me on future projects and recommend him highly. Over 24 years in the construction industry I have only recommended a handful of steel fixers and Kieran would definitely be in the top 5 men that I have dealt with.

Power Reinforcement has proved to be a tremendous asset for PND Civil Group.

PND have worked with Power Reinforcement for the past year, during which they have provided us with excellent support in the areas of concrete formwork, reinforcement and pouring.

PND trusted Power Reinforcement to carry out works on one of our most complex and high-profile projects – the Sydney Light Rail. On the Retaining Wall package, Kieran and his highly skilled team were able to work off limited details on the design drawings provided. As reo could not be scheduled, the FRP works required a lot of cutting and bending bars on site. PND then awarded them with the Central Station Substation package, where they were able to handle constant pressure from the client to complete FRP works within an extremely tight timeframe and at a high-profile location. Still, Kieran was able to provide additional resources on short notice to work 24/7, which was critical to ensuring the project was delivered on time.

The team at Power Reinforcement have always shown a high degree of professionalism and far exceeded our expectations. It is undoubted that Power Reinforcement will be carrying out all future FRP works for PND Civil.
